Remember that each Child’s Innate Temperament is Different

Some people are more abrasive than others, some more obliging. Be prepared for this fact. You can bend over backwards to be fair or to provide the sane equal environment, but the truth is each child has the right to turn out differently. Be aware of bullying. We often think of bullying as something imposed on our kids by other children, but the truth is bullying within the family is common and more frightening for the simple fact that there is often little respite.

Many parents may not realize or want to admit that the scrapes and scratches are the results of genuine blows or that verbal abuse and discreet but damaging emotional intimidation are taking place. Some children should never be left alone together. Psychologically, if a person is allowed to get away with bullying or intimidating someone he basically loves, he will hate himself for it and his problems in life will spiral.
